Elephant Nature Park’s 2012 hanging calendar contains dozens of beautiful photographs of elephants taken by Sangduen Chailert, better known as Lek, founder of Elephant Nature Park, a sanctuary for Asian elephants in Northern Thailand. This year’s calendar contains the dates that all of the elephants at the park were rescued and the dates of birth of the young elephants who were born at the park. It also includes many global environmental awareness days during the year and an update on the Journey to Freedom project.
The 2012 ENP calendar showcases many of Lek’s best photographs taken over the past year. Amongst them are several gorgeous photographs of Faa Mai and Chang Yim, two young elephants who were born at the Park in 2009 with their families. It also features a wonderful photo of Dok Ngern and Jampaa with their trunks entwined while feeding, as well as some adorable photos of groups of elephants playing in the river and in the mud pit. The photographs capture the intimate relationships that exist between many of the elephants living at the park and provide insight into their way of life.
The calendar measures 30cm x 21cm or 11.8 inches x 8.3 inches and is printed on high quality matt card. The months and days of the week in the calendar are in both English and Thai and the calendar includes Thai public holidays and the lunar cycle. The calendar will be sent between protective boards.
